La Taquería is a small Mexican restaurant in Prague-Vinohrady that makes nice gluten free tacos. It is run by Las Adelitas, a popular Mexican restaurant that has been around since 2009.
Tacos are prepared while you wait. Just order at the counter and watch the skilled staff put your tacos together right in front of you. You’ll want to ask for corn tortillas to make sure your food is gluten free. For meat varieties, choose from chicken, pork or beef. The main filling of vegetarian and vegan tacos consists of cactus, potatoes, and beans. You can add avocado slices. We also love the fried parsley that’s sprinkled on top. In addition, you can get a cup of Sopa Azteca – chicken broth with tomatoes, ancho and chipotle chili, pulled chicken, corn tortilla, cheese, guacamole, and cream.
THE TORTILLAS!
La Taquería’s corn tortillas are excellent. Not only does the restaurant use them for their tacos but they also make them available for sale in packs of 30. We like to buy a pack, divide it up into serving portions, and freeze them. As a result, we always have gluten free tortillas readily available at home.
TAKE OUT & DELIVERY
The interior of La Taquería is tiny. They clearly focus on preparing food to go. That said, it is not impossible to have a quick bite inside as there are a few seats by the window and out front. Also, the restaurant works with Wolt, so you can have your gluten free Mexican tacos delivered anywhere in Prague.
