GLUTEN FREE ITALIAN FOOD (JUST NOT PIZZA)

Pizza Nuova is not a gluten free restaurant. And you unfortunately can’t order any of the mouth-watering Neapolitan pizzas they are known for. This is because the restaurant does not have a separate gluten free pizza oven. However, they are celiac friendly and the staff seem to be well trained in handling requests for gluten free meals. As a matter of fact, their menu specifically says that you can ask for celiac friendly pasta if you wish. Gluten free substitutions for conventional pasta are part of the restaurant’s regular offering. Most items on the pasta, meat, and dessert menu can be prepared in a gluten free version. If you ask, the kitchen will make your meal separately to prevent cross contamination. Expect your order to take a little longer in that case.

We wish each gluten free meal was clearly marked when it comes out from the kitchen. Since it is not, you’ll want to double check with your server. Otherwise, just like Pasta Fresca, Pizza Nuova is a great option for gluten free Italian food in Prague.
