Pizza Scuola: Gluten Free Pizza in Prague 8

If you’d like to make your own gluten free pizza in Prague, Pizza Scuola is the place to do it. It is a pizzeria and cooking school in one. You’ll find it at Palmovka in Prague 8. We prefer to have our pizza made for us, so we simply think of Pizza Scuola as a pizzeria. 🙂

Pizza Scuola prides itself in making authentic Italian pizza from high quality ingredients. You can get both regular and gluten free pizza here (a gluten free base costs an extra 90 CZK). The restaurant makes their own gluten free dough from a flour mix that they import from Italy.

What About Cross-Contamination?

When you look at the restaurant’s website, you may notice a statement saying that minimal traces of gluten may be present in the gluten free pizza. We checked on this and were told that GF pizza is baked separately from conventional pizza. Supposedly, the pizza chef pays careful attention to avoiding cross contamination. Needless to say, we’ve always enjoyed our pizza and have had no gluten-related problems.

Pricey, But Worth It

The pizzeria is located a bit far from where we live, so we usually have our pizza delivered. You can call the restaurant to place an order. This will work well if you live close enough. They will only deliver within a certain radius and you can only pay with cash. Another option is to use a food delivery service such as Wolt. Unfortunately, ordering a gluten free pizza online through a delivery service is quite expensive at Pizza Scuola. Besides the 90 CZK for a GF pizza base, expect to add 40 CZK for ordering through Wolt, plus a delivery fee based on distance. On the other hand, there’s something to be said about opening a box with an irresistible, hot pizza inside. 😉
